How to Get Involved

The University Forum on Global Columbia invites your participation. The Forum welcomes your comments and questions. We hope you will participate actively in discussions underway at various schools and provide robust feedback.

University Forum Guidelines:

  • Entering the UNI authentication will allow you access to all of the Notes and Commenting
  • Clicking Downloads will automatically download the document selected to your computer
  • Clicking View/Post Comments takes you to a new screen allowing you to enter your comments in the box

Columbia Global invites global content submissions from the entire Columbia University community including news articles, research projects, events, PowerPoint presentations, links to blogs, videos, reports, and, information about initiatives, programs, institutes, and centers and faculty profiles and updates. There are several ways to participate in Columbia Global outlined here:

General Submission Guidelines:

  • Submit to columbiaglobal@columbia.edu

  • Accepted image file types include: png, gif, jpg, or jpeg

  • Images for articles and most content: requested image size 620x306 pixels and less than 200 mb

  • Submit your global events via Sundial to the Columbia Global Commons audience type

Information about Academic Commons:

  • Academic Commons is a freely accessible digital collection of research and scholarship produced at Columbia University or one of its affiliate institutions. Academic Commons provides enhanced access to Columbia’s research and scholarship in the present and preserves it for the future.

  • You can increase the impact of your work by making it available in Academic Commons, which automatically links to Columbia Global and feeds into your profile through your Columbia Uni.

  • Email your CV to cuac@libraries.cul.columbia.edu and Academic Commons staff members will review your publications list to determine which publications can be deposited in the repository for you. To facilitate the process, please sign the Academic Commons author agreement after you email your CV.
